Died 13th April 1962, aged 3 months at Odstock Hospital.
East Stoke , Dorset
Keith was my brother who I never knew as I was not born until 1970. He also has 3 other sisters.
He died of Broncho pneumonia, Hydrocephalus, Menigo Myelocoele in Lumbar region and skin. Repair
surgicially 23/1/1962.


I did not know that I had had a brother until I was about 7. My family never talked about it. I feel
it was just too painful for them to speak of. As sadly my brothers mother died just 5 years later.
She was only 37. For my father I think it was just too much to cope with with. As my father was
left to look after 3 young daughters alone, this was all before I was born. Stella died of cancer.
My father has only recently spoken of his heart ache at the loss of my brother. He said he only got
to hold him twice. After 40 years of not talking about it, it was almost too much to bare to see his
pain.
My brother has no headstone and the church he was buried at is now closed. So I have nowhere to go
to grieve for him.
I feel this is my way of being able to say to him that I will never let him be forgotten. Although I
never knew him and have no pictures, he will always have a place in my heart. Sad for my father as
he was his only son and now this branch of the Cutler family ends with my dad. As all us girls are
no longer Cutler's.
